Iranian authorities announced the arrest of at least 1500 demonstrators in the past two days, while Ali Reza Shariati, governor of Ahwaz, announced the arrest of 180 in Ahwaz the capital city alone, without identifying their identity or place of detention.
Due to the wide scope of the protests, the number of Ahwazi detainees throughout the Ahwazi geography exceeds 500 detainees, one third of the official statistic announced by Iran.
Iranian intelligence killed more than 54 protesters in Ahwaz and

more than 1,500 across the country.

According to reports from inside Iran, intelligence ministry agents used meat freezers to transfer the corpses of 36 protesters from Tehran social security hospital.
Security agents have asked families of killed protesters to pay 40 million Tomans to the government in order to receive the bodies of their loved ones.
