Ahwazi human rights organisation sources reported that Kareem Borwaya, an Ahwazi citizen has been arrested today morning in the Iranian intelligence Headquarter in Ahwaz.
Our sources added that Iranian intelligence service asked Borwaya by a phone call to present in its headquarter and arrested him immidiately after his arrival without giving any explanation for arresting him.
Kareem Borwaya is 35, married and has three children. He was imprisoned for 60 days last year but finally got released without any charges.
The Iranian authorities did not compensate Karim Borwaya for the duration of the detention which is a breach to the international humanitarian laws that obligate the authorities to compensate the detainees and prisoners in the absence of charges against them.
The Ahwazi Human Rights Organization condemns these arbitrary arrests by the Iranian regime against Ahwazi minority members.
The Ahwaz Human Rights Organization calls on governmental and non-governmental humanitarian organizations to put pressure on the Iranian regime to reveal the fate of Ahwazi detainees and prisoners in the prisons.
